I like it! Good idea!This is a code snippet to add a shortcut for the skin. It works the same way as clicking on the search bar, but with the shortcut, you won’t need to leave the bar locked on the screen or go to the desktop to click it.
You’ll need "HotKey.dll". Check the Rainmeter plugins folder to see if you already have it. If not, you can download it from here or here and place it in the Rainmeter plugins folder.
Mine is set to Ctrl Alt NUM0 feel free to change it as you wish. You can check the list of hotkeys here.
Note: The shortcut should not have the "+" symbol in it; you can only use space between keys.
Place the code after [MeterSearchLabel]Code:
